Anyone interested in trying a community story? Just for kicks.

Goal:
To have fun writing a story as a community.

Guidelines:

• Reply to this thread with a post that tells the next part of the story.
• Try to build on previous entries.
• Continuity is valued, but twists are of course accepted.
• Posts must be limited to Twitter-length -- 140 characters or less.
• Don't double-post -- wait for someone else to reply before you take another turn.

oh ,taht 140 character limit is hard. but let me try starting idea ive been having in my mind (i would actually like to use more than that limit to test it better) (ps. didnt get it to fit 140)

Every day mankind uses 10 000 work years watching "Bold & Beautiful".
another 2 000 work years is used every day to listen old people complain about the latest plot twist in "Bold & beautiful".

Is that a story starter? Or just meant as a statement of fact?

Don't get too attached to an idea -- people will be sure to change the direction of where you might have originally envisioned.

As soon as someone posts the first line that is under 140 characters, we can start building on it.

"Oh father!" He held the lifeless body in his arms, "You said there would be peace, and now...". His words turned into sobs of grief.

[PFC]

*Man's voice* We must go now before they spot us! Let us bring his body to give him a proper burial.

Surprised, the son turned to see who was speaking.

[PFC]

Standing there stood a man bearing the crest of the elves, yet he did not look elven. "Quickly, they are drawing near!"

[bugala]

"And forget your grandma too, she havent breathed for last five years!"

[HanClinto]

"But... but..." the confused young man stammered. The flames of the village could be seen rising still higher through the windows.

Then a shrill voice, distant but getting closer, screamed, "Over here!"

[Mene-Mene]

Impetuously, the youth rushed toward the familiar voice of his younger sister.

She appeared at the door to the house, a bundle wrapped in white cloth in her arms.

The older man persisted with curt urgency in his voice. "Make haste, there is little time!"

[Mene-Mene]

The sight of his sister have him strength he did not know he had.

Staggering, he lifted the body of his father and made his way to the door. He raised his eyes to the scene unfolding in front of him.

The green mountain where he once tended his father's flock was now red with fire, beseiged by the infamous dragon army of Umtalon.

He swore silently under his breath, before any and all powers, that he would avenge father's death. Even if it cost him his very soul.

Little did he know, it would cost his sister's.

His sister was a person of strong will ,she thought very highly of her brother for all of the sacrifices he made for the family.
