http://www.raspberrypi.org/

The Raspberry Pi was launched today and apparently sold out in a couple hours, bringing down the sales server while it was at it. I'm looking at two once they come back in stock.

For those of you who weren't keeping track, it's $25 credit-card sized, system-on-a-chip computer. Personally speaking, it's a step up from the Arduinos, especially for the more software minded. If you haven't heard of it, check it out; it's the techie's ultimate toy.

But this brings me to the real question at hand? If you're like me, you see a world of possibilities, but it's hard to really come up with solid applications; my mind is swimming with the idea of computering all the things.
First thought is to get a very portable linux box. Slap it on the back of a small monitor? A robot?

But, I ask you...

What would you do with a Raspberry Pi?

I would prob'ly put backtrack on it and go from there. I would also consider putting android on there and making a really small video streaming box, there's so much that can be done with that thing it's ridiculous.

I think I'd like to get a couple of USB controllers and load up a MAME box for the kids to play in the van on long trips.

@Benny: Video streaming definitely is a solid idea. I was thinking of getting a small monitor, slapping the pi on the back and having a portable online tv to put in the kitchen or move around anywhere I'd like. Linux on the tv doesn't hurt either.

@HanClinto: One of the big uses I wanted to do is get a genesis emulator on it (It's intevitable, I already have it on all my computers and my ds.) But now you got me looking up MAME boxes. That's a pretty sweet project. Especially if it's an arcade cabinet.
