Yes!!! I've been wanting to post something similar. I've only just recently been on there (like maybe two or three weeks) and it is terrific. I am on during the day on weekdays. It really adds a new level to this site and the members.

I got autojoined using Trillian, but I can't figure out how to register with the server. It tells me I need to register but it doesn't tell me how. Anyway, I got into the channel... I'm SparklingVisions there because it told me that Sparkling was already taken.

/msg nickserv register <your-password> <your-email> hope that helps  /edit: I was completely off...

Thanks, I did finally find the information half way down the page here: http://freenode.net/faq.shtml#registeringIt makes you enter your email address, as indicated here. You must have already used the /nick command to identify the nickname you want to register, and then type in this command to Register your IRC nick: /msg nickserv register <your-password> <your-email> without the <> Hope this helps the next person! -Sparkling

Yay, we need more people there! If you feel like testing out your new keyboard through intensive chatting, join and drop a few lines for me, teh non-speaking-wrong-timezone-channel-attraction. But beware! ...I'll be reading the logs afterwards  .

I will say it's never boring! LOL There's always someone talking in the CDN chat on IRC. Sometimes i have to turn it off because it gets too distracting and I can't get my work done. But if someone's looking for some company, this would be a good option. Blessings to you, -Sparkling

Any chance there might be a web module put online to allow irc chat in the browser? I'm not able to install an IRC chat application...I'm sure there might be others around here too that can't. Just a thought If not, that's okay. _________________ blue hour studios

I use Trillian to access IRC, but I suppose that would be classified as a chat program and not allowed by your work. Sorry!

Any particular reason this topic got removed from the sticky list? I have used this topic several times for the link to the irc channel. If this isn't placed back on the list maybe put a link to the irc channel somewhere easily visible(assuming there isn't one already that I am not seeing).

The top global annoucements were becoming too numerous. If your using a browser launched IRC, or have your IRC setup so when you click on the link it launches it, then bookmark the link.

I actually never thought of bookmarking the link. Always navigated to what ever page to bookmark it so I never noticed the feature. Learn something new everyday.If I had thought about it more I possibly could have bookmarked the topic. the only downside to these methods is my bookmark list getting longer(was already long enough to require scrolling). sometime I need to go through and weed some more out.
