The FTP is being closed one hour late as a grace period. You may fix bugs, but do not add features.

Uh, blasted!
Had i noticed that i would have done some more bug fixing, now i did just some little since i didnt know it was allowed.
For i know some of the bugs right away there, plus i could have activated one Item that could have been used in game.
For the item was there, there was just no place to get it yet as i changed my item system.
But i did know where to get it from already.

I'm sorry for not announcing this sooner -- I should have made it more widely known ahead of time.

If you have critical bug fixes that you need to make, otherwise your game is simply unplayable (crashes every time you press the "Z" key or get to level 2), then you are permitted to make a "patched" version of your game available, provided that you list what you changed (which should only be the minimum required to fix the bug -- no new features!), and host it on a third-party server (contact me if you need hosting). Judges will then be at their discretion as to which version they use when judging your game.
This has been the practice for all of the past Speedgames -- I'm just spelling it out here explicitly.

Hmm, i guess i will take a chance on this, for i noticed that i used wrong command in my last bug fix on making close ups stay longer, and now they still go away before you have even time to read what they say.
So i will make patch fixing that available at some point today.
Oh. and i can dix the typos in datafiles that cause game to crash.
Things like "arrowrighttup" instead of "arrowrightup" which results in crash.

Hmm.. Can i Add save and load game function to make it easier for judges to check the game out, without need to start from beginning each time?
After all, Judges can just simply ignore the save/load option from their review since it didnt exist?

Why not? Add a couple extra levels and pretty up the intro screen while you're at it.

You are encouraged to keep adding features on your game after the contest, but please keep any such post-contest versions as separate from the contest versions.
The original submission, the patched submission, and the post-release "deluxe" version would all be distinct.

But what about the save/load feature?
I have that Gray options box in my game that is nothing but decorative right now, i could make it so that clicking on that you would get to save load game place.
It would help judges that they wcould save load their game in checking my game out, and same time it would be easy for them to make the distinguish between what belongs to original entry and what doesnt. (Mainly everything that happens after clickg the gray box are extras).

I'm not clint, but to me, saving/loading is a feature, not a bug.

Feel free to release a Deluxe version that is more enjoyable to play, but the point of the patch release is to enable people to play a game that they would not otherwise be able to play.

okay, then my competition patching is already done. I already put to my dropbox folder al the typo fixes that i believe are in accordance to the rules competition rules.
I guess my next release then is the deluxe edition (in other words the complete version that you can actually complete)
