Bugala, just tried your game too. That was a lot of fun -- quite humorous. The OSX binary you provided worked just great -- well done! Thanks so much for providing that.

Definitely -- I loved the artwork and the whole feel of it all. Is this going to be released as another iPhone special? I think you could re-skin this game with artwork from Assemblee and submit it. --clint

(pay no attention to the decompiler behind the curtain...)Maybe we can just consider my work, not as fraud, but as "intelligent design". I thought about making the time read "0.006 Million Years", but I thought the 'shop might be too obvious at that point, and I was trying to keep it subtle. One way that I messed up is that I forgot that the code only adds years in tens of millions of years -- so 6 million years couldn't happen in a legit playthrough. Anyways, I still like my human. I've named him George (though he'd still be cooler if he had a uni-horn). --clint

i put uni-horn in just for you.
yeah, the < 60 million is what finally tipped me off. up until then, you had me.
nicely done, i must say.
yeah, if it doesn't take too much longer, perhaps we can view your final product?

First im adding Mightybotmes games link here: http://lightningtoons.com/game.htmlSecondly, thanks from all the compliments, which i didint thank earlier yet. Thirdly, i now tested all the games through. JetSpice, you have actually quite interesting game idea there. Unfortunately it right now is only click and see if you succeed, but when i was looking with my cellphone during this week the pictures and discussion of your game, i was really excitedly waiting to get to try it, since it seemed such interesting concept. I think you should try to figure out something from that. Could become quite fun simple game for example. Samw3, your game has some terrible bug, i tried both 2 hrs and 6hrs version, and in both cases when i started them, i saw the start picture and after that my whole computer was on knees. It took me 5 minutes to get Windows task manager to the state that i had clicked your game and clicked "Stop Program" (or whatever it in english is), which is real shame since i was very much wanting to see your game, since from pictures it looked like potential one. Can someone make maybe youtube video of it or something? Mene-Mene, sad you didnt get your game any further done, since my heart started pounding from happy excitement when that game started, but unfortunately for vain... Mightybotme, your game is actually quite working for such a simple one. I like that the rockets speed up, i also like the idea that longer you wait before you click them, more points you gain, but aiming for higher points is also a risk, since any missed missile would zero your points. Also the tight time limit is good. I think that would work well as a party game or something like Mario Party / Warioware Inc. minigame. Even as a bonus round. Well done that one. It had good elements in it. Oh yeah, but recognising clicking was bit buggy, in worst case i started clicking rocket right from beginning, and it was almost in the other end until it finally reacted on that click of mine, which of course made the playing from me lose a lot, since i couldnt wait till the last moment since maybe even more than half of the clicks went unrecognised for me. But that game concept is good anyway. I Liked it.

Botme -- nice job. i didn't know about the speed vs. score cool
Mene - i've only got past the first "wander" and it puts me back to the beginning.
Sam - cool 2hr rpg. i completed the 6 hour one by rescuing all the princesses. an adventure game in 6 hours -- wow.
****
looks like we had 6 participants. pretty stellar. can we do another round in a couple of weeks? the 2 hour limit was very challenging, but in a good way for me. it kind of forced me to think of what is important, and really did help with motivation in general.

Wow, ok. It's probably some conflict with your computer there. Could you tell me your version of windows and also the version of java? ( java -version from the command prompt) I'll see what I can do. God Bless!

@samw3
Due to the speed the version flashed in my screen, i didnt really get to read what was reading there, and while i tried pushing pause break button, i didnt get to stop at place where the text had been, but i think it said version to be 1.6.0.13 (cant be really sure since that required me to java -version 10 times already)
Windows XP with should be with newest updates, since i have autoupdate on.
@JetSpice, you calculated 6 participants, i calculated only 5, did i miss some game or did you miscalculate?

Ah ,that explains it. Hmm. hope hanclinto makes the game to a state we can try it soon. At maximum we can count 7 participants actually, since CPUFreak91 put message of joining the competition too, although he didint provide anything. Who knows, maybe he has some nice piece of code there he didint get finished in time and hence didint send. Hope you send it, just look at Mene-menes try, its text game and has only three options "Wander, Back and exit", I bet you can beat that at least (not meaning badly Mene-,mene, since point in your work was the engine not the result anyway)

Bugala, I think I may have fixed the issue thanks to HanClinto helping me debug the audio routines on his system (he was having a similar issue). Could you give this version a try and see if it works on your system? Thank! http://dl.dropbox.com/u/357882/wanderer.jar
