Agreed... EXCEPT, I know last year the prizes actually had some value towards the developer. For instance 1st place won like the top tier-torque-3d engine I do believe. I don't know about others, but I suspect I'm not the only one that would never have the money for something like that, and I also suspect many here could make use of it in Christ to do good in some way.
Plus... what if we were to offer multiple very nice prizes one year by God's graces? In such a way that others (read: nonbelievers) would desire to enter? It'd be neat (in my dreams) for someone to enter a contest, have to read up on scripture, and actually have some seeds planted that could bring them eventually to Christ.
That said, the prizeless idea is worth considering IMHO. But even if it's kidna messed up, with that motivation gone perhaps not as many people would enter with as many quality entries? Honestly I'm unsure if and how it would affect my entry?

Sorry, or it's one of those things where you try to delegate because you're doing too many other things, but you're too distracted to follow up and help those who are volunteering. Several people have volunteered to help, and I really appreciate it. I will be following up with you guys soon. Thanks! --clint

Thanks for the link. Robin_Harbron wrote: Last year's rules can be found here: http://speedgame.christiandevs.com/It's possible they'll change at least a bit this year, but it'll still give you a good idea of what to expect. I realize that this is quite last minute and I may not be able to participate anyway. But could someone clarify this process?... JOIN IN- JOINING IN IS EASY! Using your favorite FTP client, login to: FTP: ftp.christiandevs.com
USERNAME: u47539544-speedgame
PASSWORD: contest To register for the contest, make a folder with your CDN username Upload an ENTRY.TXT file into your folder with your full name and e-mail. This is the folder where you will upload final entry near the end of the event. ALL ENTRIES MUST COME IN A ZIP OR RAR FILE.. For instance, am I supposed to create a folder on my computer? and then e-mail it when my entry is done? Any help would be appreciated.

no, you're supposed to log into the ftp and create a folder there.

@michak, if i understood right was that you dont know much about what ftp client is. FTP client is a program that will contact to the site on file level. Bit like "Resource Management" on your computer, except it can send files between internet sites server and computer. Howewver, to access on ftp level, you need username and password made by Admin, in this case the ones shown on the instructions. You can download free FTP client Filezilla from: http://filezilla-project.org/Then you start that program, connect to Christiain Devs site with that FTP address, using given username and password. Inside that server you make that Folder "michaK" into which you then upload that "entry.txt" file that you have first made by using for example notepad. And in that notepad file you write your full name and email. Hope this clarifies a bit. But i do have to say that i was slightly surprised they are using method not actually hard, but not easiest either. But i guess its because basically if you are making games, you in most cases can handle this.

Thanks. You're right, I had no idea what an FTP client was.
