Congrats to winners!
Sadly we didnt have those 4 categories separated like previous years, but since there werent that many games this year, i guess it hadnt made that much sense to do so.
However, I would still like to know the top three of Xian category, since that I always feel most interesting one here. I am especially interested how Crosstraining did on it.

i didnt like this years format as much as previous years. i like them on websites so you had to download nothing. you clicked on a link, the game pops up. not sure on voting totals but sure it brought people voting way down. i made a game and i didnt even bother voting or trying other games, seeing a list of downloads, with descriptions of which system there for. then hunting them down in my computer opening the files up. wondering if there will be compatability issues, if the game runs properly. will this program crash other systems, have a virus, that or go blank, lock up the computer and be a pain to remove. The voting had issues need comfermation codes i dont honestly think more than a few people will cheat creating dumby accounts to vote for there game, so they can win a few more dev points

We had more web playable games in previous years than this year and more games overall (due to a lot of teams forming this year and a lot of people being busy), web deployed has never been a requirement but always a welcome choice.

The judging phase is an integral part of the speedgame competition. If you're entering the competition, you really shouldn't consider judging optional. (Of course, we all understand that sometimes the circumstances of life prevent a person from participating in judging, just as they can prevent a person from entering the competition to begin with.) Other people go to a lot more effort than you do to judge the games. I don't own a Windows computer, yet I take the effort to make a Windows version of my game, make sure it works on Win XP, and then test every other game that I can possibly get to run on my system. I don't write posts complaining about how hard it was to judge the games and why I didn't feel like doing that part. Web games can have viruses. I know of two instances where it was possible to use a browser plugin to delete every file in a person's userspace, or install any file you wanted, run it and connect to remote hosts... I think you (like most people) are unaware of the dangers of playing web based games. When you play a browser game, you don't even get an opportunity to scan it for viruses. It just downloads to your computer and plays. Anyway, all that said, I was glad that you entered this year, and I will play your game next year if you enter again. I know you're not the only one who was part of the competition this year who didn't vote (my two teammates did not play all of the games or vote as far as I know), so I'm not really trying to pick on you personally. I just think we need to get over the idea that we're done with SpeedGame when we upload our entries.
